*Updated* Hockey Canada registry profile creation information

May. 20, 2025

There has been a change to how HCR Profiles (numbers) are created for new participants who have NEVER registered in a Hockey Canada sanctioned program before.   It is important to note that HCR Profiles will no longer be created through Respect in Sport.  New Participants will be required to enter their HCR number in to Respect Group when they sign up for certification.

Attached is an instruction document that can be provided to families/players who are new registrants and require an HCR Profile creation.  For participants who have never been registered in a Hockey Canada sanctioned program before the registration flow will look like this:

  1. Create Spordle Account (see attached instructions)

  2. Create HCR Profile (see attached instructions)

  3. Complete Respect in Sport Certification and provide HCR number to Respect Group during that process to ensure the completed certification is showing in HCR (Remember the requirement is that RIS Certification is SHOWING in HCR)

  4. Register with MHA

Any families or participants who have previously registered with a Hockey Canada sanctioned program and are looking for their HCR number can log in to their Spordle Account (create one if necessary, using attached instructions) to log in to their profile and obtain their number.
