Registration FAQ

Why has VDMHA decided to use an online registration system?
Online registration provides our members with the opportunity to complete their registration at a time that is convenient to them.  We have changed to the team snap system based on a Hockey Alberta recommendation for the upcoming 2019-2020 season.

When will registration open?
Online registration will open on by July 31,2019. The earlier VDMHA knows the number of registered players, it allows for planning in terms of number of teams, league and required ice times.

When will fees go up?

After August 31st all registrations must receive approval from the president before becoming final annd will be subject to an additional $100 dollar fee.

When is my registration confirmed?
When you submit your registration form on line, you will receive an email which will be a copy of your invoice.

***  All nonresident registrations will be subject to final acceptance by VDMHA president to ensure resident registration placement. ***

Are multiple payments (installments) still available?
Yes, multiple payments/installments are still available, depending on when you register

 Can I pay with Cash?
No, VDMHA will not not accept cash payments, only online registration will be accepted.

Can I pay by Cheque?
No, VDMHA will not accept cheques as payment, only online registration will be accepted.

I have heard that I can pay out my fundraising commitments for the year? Can I do it online?
Starting in the 2019/2020 season, VDMHA will provide a couple of different options for meeting your fundraising commitments.

You will be able to pay $250.00 at the time of registration. This will exempt you from all fundraising other than working at the VDMHA yearly events or association fundraisers (eg.Golf tournaments, Jr, B Halloween Dance, Puck n Funny the past couple of years).

What if I don't want to payout my fundraising?
If you choose not to pay for your fundraising at the time of registration, you will be required to provide a Fundraising commitment cheque for $350.00, post dated for January 31, 2019. You will be asked to bring this post dated cheque to the first coaches/parents meeting and give them to your level director. If you do not provide the post dated fundraising cheque, then your player will not be allowed on the ice until such time that the cheque has been received. If you do not meet your fundraising commitments, your bond cheque will be cashed. If the commitment cheque is unable to be cashed, your player will not be allowed on the ice until such a time that the fees are paid.
